Factory Restore Disc For M18x
does anyone have a copy of, or can point me to a factory restore image for an M18x laptop? I somehow deleted the recovery partition from my hard drive. any information would be appreciated. thanks.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve the recovery partition. Try reinstalling Windows using the recovery media that you may be received with your system. You can download all of the system drivers and Alienware applications from the Dell support site.

thanks for the reply. I did not receive any recovery media with my M18x. it came with a recovery partition installed on the hard drive, which I somehow managed to delete. I was hoping I could purchase a factory reset image from dell/alienware, or possibly get a copy from somebody with the same system. I'm sure dell/alienware must archive image files for all their various systems. possibly on an ftp server?

Hi,
Unfortunately, we do not have a default factory image that we can offer for this model. We may be able to send a Windows 7 recovery disk or USB drive, but we would need to check if we still have the recovery media available for Windows 7. Send me your Service Tag in a PM so we can look further into this.
