Freeze and Framerate problem The Witcher 3
Hi Everyone,
I just bought an Alienware 15 with a good configuration and it's just impossible to run The Witcher 3. Even in low quality my framerate is ridiculously low...
My config is :
- 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processor
- Windows 8.1
- 16GB Memory
- AMD Radeon™ R9 M295X with 4GB GDDR5
I didn't expect to run the game in "ultra" quality but I am surprised to can't play at all...
I tried to update my drivers but nothing seems to work... Is that one of you will have an idea ?

First check you are running the game with the AMD card and make sure the system is set on high performance in the power options.
As well you can try to uninstall the currently driver the system has and download and install the latest version you find in the AMD website.

Make sure you don't have any Gamework features on as it punishes AMD GPUs hard. I would also make sure the AMD GPU is working as opposed to the iGPU. You may have to manually do this in the Catalyst Control Center.
Also, what resolution are you playing at?

Actually the game didn't use the good graphic card... I just change it thanks to Catalyst center.

Hi Thibault,
I have the same config as you and would be interested on your feedback running the Witcher 3 with a M295X. On which graphic level-mode do you play? And is your framerate good (60+ FPS) ?
