Games running too fast!?!?!
Alrighty.
It's a weird title/problem to have, but its real : s
Whenever I play on any game everything seems to be running too fast. Sometimes it will seem ok, but then it will gradually speed up until it's around 1.5x what it should be.
When I check the fps' they all seem normal, but the game will be running much faster than intended. It makes games unplayable and unrealistic.
I've updated all drivers and I can't find anything obviously wrong with my system.
It's a weird one, but any help at all would be apreasiated
Chris.

What games are you playing ? That sounds like a typical problem for DOSBOX , Console emulators or old games.

Any and every game I try to play. It will seem fine at first, then slowly speed up.

Have you tried activating V- SYNC ?. If it is an older game - pre WIN7 try compatibility settings for the game and set it to Vista or prior OS. I don't have a I7 980 , that may be the culprit with older games.
It could also be the two HD 5970'S = not all games work well with Crossfire enabled. I have some older games that need more CPU power like GTA SA,So I have turn on level 1 overclock to play it with decent graphics.
Some don't run right with CF enabled and I have to disable it, city life comes to mind for that. List if you can the games this happens on.
If you go to the forums for each game you might find people with similar problems and or solutions.
