[Help] Alienware X51 R2 BIOS update from A07 to A10 keeps Win10 to freeze...
I'm not completely sure about subject line. So far Win10 keeps freeze with no warnings. Accordingly I have no clue how to report this problem to Microsoft. In the middle of any simpliest operations like file browsing or test editor use the whole system freezes without any keyboard or mouse reaction. The only way to call it back from this knockout state is Hard Reset through Power Button press more than 6 seconds. I suppose it's not the best way out for harware. But it's the only way. What is more interesting is second OS installed which is GNU/Linux(Debian) causes no trouble at all. Which means all the evil comes from EVIL corporation =O . That's no good. So did any of you solve the Win10 freeze? And how?

If it is anything even remotely related to the botched BIOS they just released for the Area 51 R2, then it might have to do with your memory speed settings. If you're running DDR4 RAM at any speed above 2133Mhz, the computer will fail to boot on the new BIOS.
You're going to have to go into the BIOS and set the memory clock speed to Auto/2133Mhz. The computer should work just fine after that.

So far I've got no solution for the problem. I have to boot Debian system to ordinary operate PC. And all I've seen is multiple reports like this one https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/4z7u4b/august_23_2016_kb3176934_os_build_1439382/ and reply back from Microsoft engineer (russian only) here http://answers.microsoft.com/ru-ru/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/%D0%B2%D0%BD%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B0%D0%BF%D0%BD%D0%BE/f57d7a75-7c7c-4dda-a15d-9fca929c0ab4
so the problem is still there and so far no other solution other than Windows 10 "clean installation" which can disturb my Debian partition along with UEFI settings. No way to that as I need PC up and running! I still wait for comments on this.

Try going from A07 to A14. Worked for me. Windows 10 Pro Anniversary.
Then run a pre-boot system assessment (ePSA),

ePSA showed no fails. It was trying out them for almost 4 hours. Did you mean to go revert first back to A07? Because my BIOS is A10 for Alienware X51 R2 at the moment and that is http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=HT3VH&fileId=3485845624&osCode=WB64A&productCode=alienware-x51-r2&languageCode=en&categoryId=BI a year newer than A14 from here http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=1DDYK which goes for Alienware X51. Are you shure that could be used on Alienware X51 R2?
