Help with Dual monitors on Alienware aurora R-4

Hello ive been struggling trying to get my dual monitors set up on my aurora r-4. I currently have two dell monitors that connects with a vga While my aurora r-4 has two dvi connections on it. ive been trying to find the cable i need for it and can i just get two dvi- vga adapters seperately and itll function as a dual monitor?

hmm well i read the yahoo answers and apparently my graphic card does not accept two dvi connections (i have two dvi-vga connectors)

i cant find crossfire in catalyst and yes ill buy a hdmi -vga connector it should fix the issue. (i used dvi because that was the connector they gave me when i ordered my aurora r4 and i assumed i just needed another dvi-vga to get my dual monitor to function.

If you have ATI and you have the latest catalyst, then you have crossfire. Look under performance. I have the same computer, you have. I have a r4 also. And from what I see you have two graphics cards. That means you have crossfire, and you can control two monitors. If you don't see crossfire. Then there's something wrong with the program

hmm crossfire seems to be missing

PS I also like to add that from Yahoo. You got the wrong information. From what I read. I think they assume you have one graphics card. When I sense you have two so Yahoo was correct to assume you will not find a graphics card that controls two DVI's

well ive tried updating the ccc with their driver auto update but still cant find crossfire

First off, it looks like you have it in standard mode open up performance and put it in advance. It'll give you more options. What version of catalyst do you have?

i have the catalyst 14.4 or something like that this is wat happens when i put it in advanced view.

i orderd the hdmi to vga adapter as you suggested and hopefully it ends all the hassle.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/MultimonitorFAQ.aspx check out this website is from the AMD website. It's well help you understand how dual monitors work. I also did some research here and found you have one card in layman's terms, you have a dual graphics card, which is two graphics cards in one. check of the website. It'll show you how to hook up two monitors, let me know how goes okay I'm more than happy to help you out as much as I can.
