hmm well i read the yahoo answers and apparently my graphic card does not accept two dvi connections (i have two dvi-vga connectors)
i cant find crossfire in catalyst and yes ill buy a hdmi -vga connector it should fix the issue. (i used dvi because that was the connector they gave me when i ordered my aurora r4 and i assumed i just needed another dvi-vga to get my dual monitor to function.
If you have ATI and you have the latest catalyst, then you have crossfire. Look under performance. I have the same computer, you have. I have a r4 also. And from what I see you have two graphics cards. That means you have crossfire, and you can control two monitors. If you don't see crossfire. Then there's something wrong with the program
PS I also like to add that from Yahoo. You got the wrong information. From what I read. I think they assume you have one graphics card. When I sense you have two so Yahoo was correct to assume you will not find a graphics card that controls two DVI's
First off, it looks like you have it in standard mode open up performance and put it in advance. It'll give you more options. What version of catalyst do you have?
Okay, looks good. Now I need to go into your computer and take a picture of your two graphics cards from the top down. send me the model number if you would please so I can see exactly what you have.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/MultimonitorFAQ.aspx check out this website is from the AMD website. It's well help you understand how dual monitors work. I also did some research here and found you have one card in layman's terms, you have a dual graphics card, which is two graphics cards in one. check of the website. It'll show you how to hook up two monitors, let me know how goes okay I'm more than happy to help you out as much as I can.
thanks although honestly i regret buying this alienware computer. i did some research. I should've asked some friends for helping in picking parts and custom built it lol. (sorry im on a tilt as either my mother board or some other part is starting to die out and i just got the dual monitor to work thanks again!)
haha yea i might just custom built a new pc and take the ram/hard drive of this comp to a new one. appreciate the help with dual monitors though really helps out when i play league of legend lol
