Intel Rapid Storage Help

Hello and thank you for taking the time to help me.

Today I had to do a fresh install I have 2x 750 gig hard drives that I have in Raid 0 and as you can see by the photo's I have attached Intel Rapid Storage has them set in Raid but when I go to my computer its only showing one hard drive at 697 Gig should it not read 1,397gig like IRS has it set to ?

and ideas thanks again.

Hi!

It looks like the RAID and cache drive wasn't set up correctly. The RAID 0 shows the correct storage space in the IRST but not on My Computer, and the 60GB SSD shows as a caching device even though the page says the acceleration is disabled. 

I recommend recreating the RAID and starting from scratch. Follow the instructions below: 

  1. Delete the current RAID setup and re-create the RAID 0 by following the steps in this article.
  2. Follow the step-by-step instructions in this video to do a clean Windows installation.
  3. After you've installed Windows, install the drivers in the correct order specified here.
  4. Then, you can enable the acceleration on the SSD by following the steps here
