Keyboard and screen issue on 17 (2014)

Resentaly my screen started having a lot of fuzz on it. It goes away after playing a game that heats it up a bit, but will return once the laptop cools down. Additionally it stated non stop pasteing the date/time. To get it to stop I had to install one of the keyboards shown under the device manager, but it get rei stalled and starts pasting the date again. While I can deal with the fuzzyness I can't do anything when the keyboard glitches out. I suspect a bad cable for the screen issue, would that also cause the keyboard problem? I'm on a Alienware 17 that I bought summer 2014.
