Kind of memory in Area-51 ALX
Hi,
exists an advice of DELL / Alienware for using a special kind of memory in an Area-51 ALX for example Corsair or Kingston?
My Area-51 ALX has 3 x 2 GB of DDR3 with 1600 MHz modules on board.

Hello,
You already know the basic specs for your memory.
You need to know that in order to buy memory that will work when you install it, you need to buy memory listed for your specific computer brand and model number, You can read why this is an issue on the memory pages at my web site.

your area 51 alx comes with corsair dominator ram.

Using google I only found 2GB modules, but for upgrading from 6GB (3 x 2) to 12GB I would need 3 x 4GB modules.
There is no shop offering 4GB modules - 1033 or 1600 MHz.
