Lights not working
Alienware M17xR4, Early 2012 model.
Any suggestions? Looked online and I've done pretty much everything I was able to find. Computer had no issues prior to lights stopping to work.
Only issue I am experiencing now is that the battery is not charging, I did buy a new Power cord/adapter and that did not help, ergo i believe the battery itself may be broken? Other then that it works just fine now.
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you

Which are the troubleshooting steps you had followed?
Have you tried to perform a power drain and a BIOS update?

Hi Milena,
I tried to update my BIOS but because my adapter does not charge ( 0%, plugged in, not charging) I cannot update the BIOS, I need at least 10% battery to do that.
I have done a few things that I've read online however this was months ago so I don't remember. Anything that you can suggest will be helpful.
Also I cannot install my MS Office after I reinstalled my Windows...2 different 'specialist' tried to do it remotely and none were able to do it. I paid extra to have this perticular MS Office version and I cannot even install it. Bit of a joke.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Milena,
If you'd have read my post you would have read that I have reinstalled my windows and thus the problem began. I reinstalled it again shortly after but the problem remained.
