Low FPS alienware M17x r3

I'm running an Alienware M17x r3 with an AMD Radeon 6900M Series and Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000.  My FPS is averaging 12-18 fps and I cant seem to do anything to fix it.  I've re pasted the GPU/CPU, reinstalled all drivers in different orders after completely removing the old drivers every time using Driver Fusion and CC cleaner.  I've attached the DxDiag for all the information. the heat for the GPU stays b/w 65-72 Celsius.   if you have any further questions that may lead to the issue let me know. Thanks for the help in advance.

Which Windows version is installed?

Also, update the Bios to the latest.

I'm running win 7 home premium.  I have the latest bios that I can find: InsydeH2O Version 1.0 A12.  It's the one from the dell support site for the R3.

I think it might depend on what game it is ... giving you 15fps on this old laptop. Maybe that's all it can do? Have you tried turning down your in-game visual settings or running at a lower res?

 

Just a reminder ... all these machines with Optimus or AMD Switchable graphics ... you have to set the game (and maybe even Steam) to use the better GPU.

I have the same problem  but, yesterday i was at 400 fps (on minecraft) and today 50 fps
