M14x-R2 battery problem

Hey everyone,  hope you can answer my question. My battery for my laptop is having some issues. Today when i turned it on it said the battery was overheating in the bios menu and to reset the charger ac and wait for it too cool down. I've been on my laptop all day with the charger attached playing world of warcraft. Took out the charger because i still have battery left and it shut off meaning i am still having the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also i should note sometimes my battery doesn't charge for some reason. It could be totally dead, i will plug in the charger be able to play but the battery won't charge just says plugged in not charging. it's weird i am not under warranty anymore for this product sadly but just curious what everyone thinks it could be. Also id like to mention my fan on my laptop is really really loud when playing games. Thanks in advance!
