M15x HD 5850

When im editing video's that are in HD , Sometimes my whole laptop will crash, or maybe its just my GFX chip (HD 5850)

Sometimes it will recover itself after like 5seconds, but usually i will have to manually shutdown the laptop by pressing the button.

Does anyone know why its doing this?
Why would they lable a chip HD if its ganna crash editing HD video?
