MIO Board Power Pins - Aurora R4

Hello fellow Aliens,

Does the MIO board use a standard power connector?

The thing is, I have a non OEM PSU and I am wondering if I can just plug the power cable from PSU the MIO without splicing cables.

The MIO Power cable looks like a normal MOLEX power cable.

You are correct, it is.

So use that available (now a bit old-school) industry-standard Molex plug, or use an adapter to convert to it.

No rerouting necessary? E.g. changing red to yellow or black, etc.

No. Never do that. That would change voltage on certain pins. It is keyed to fit only one way.

Why do you ask? Do you see something different than PC-Molex spec?

I am going to revive an Aurora R4. Soon, I'll be installing the MIO board.

I was afraid that the MIO board had a surprise in that it might have been using a differently keyed MOLEX power supply (no plug and play).
