MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G in Alienware Aurora R4 ?
Hi folks,
I'm planning on upgrading my current GTX680 to a single MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G (not a big fan of SLI).
I'm just a bit worried over the size of the card, especially considering its width (140mm).
Here are the specs in mm : 279 x 140 x 36

Do you folks think it will fit in an Aurora R4 case, and that i'll be able to close the plastic thing hiding the GPU ?

Due to Nvidia incompatibility I'm not sure it will work at all. The XPS 8700 required a bios update before it would work.

I currently run the A11 bios and I've seen documented cases of people running GTX 980 even in SLI so I'm not really worried about that matter.
