More Accurate Delivery Date Anyone?
I ordered a computer October 24th. It was delayed 4 times before i cancelled it in order to start again, but with better components since a lot had changed in the time i spent waiting. I already got my first delay with my second try. The new estimated date is Dec 1st but i know this is wrong. Anyone crack the code of what date Dell really will get around to sending my computer?

It seems to be all over the place. I have heard of people waiting 2 - 3 weeks. I ordered my M14x on Black Friday and got it 5 days later - a full week before the ETA. Unfortunately the unit they shipped me was defective but it did get here fast... Hope you get it soon!

I'm not sure which would be worse. Waiting to get it or being in my situation where I have it but it's a complete POS. They have had the in home tech come out 3 times already and we are scheduled to have her come out again tomorrow. They have obviously given up on quality control to keep up with demand. It looks like Dell managed to ruin Alienware. Great job Dell!

Given the issues of Dell reporting a higher than normal new order count, components that are further reported to not being readily available, (13 business day delay in some cases) and the holiday season creeping up pretty fast, trying to get an accurate EDD is probably close to picking a winning lottery number. Some folks have cancelled and re - ordered to try and shorten up the wait time, although I wonder if that option is really going to work.

yeah, i used to be a fan of dell. Purchased my laptop from dell and had nothing but great experience, especially with customer support but this was a few years ago. My current experience is horrible and i wont be using Dell ever again. ever.

I used to tell people Dell was just as good or better than others. I have owned many, many HPs and have been a loyal HP customer for a long time. We currently have 2 HP touchpads, an HP AIO printer, 2 HP laptops, and an HP desktop and have never had a single issue with any of them. I purchased an Alienware because it's specs blow away even the top end HP Envy and because it is supposed to be a premium brand. It's too bad, if Dell doesn't fix this quickly I'm returning it. The Asus G53 is supposed to be just as good if not better than the M14x (and costs a LOT less).
