Mouse Randomly Stopped Working Error Code 43
I've had my Alienware 15 just a little over year now. It's not ever day gaming computer and only gets use about 3 days a week for 3 to 4 hours on the average. How ever I do keep it update when I see driver updates for various items that my desktop have in common. I've been playing around on the laptop the past 2 days, and today, 15 minutes into use the computer decides to reject my mouse. Error code 43, Windows no longer recognize your attachment. I've used the same Razer Naga (Red) Hex mouse since I've received my laptop, along with Razer Deathstalker Keyboard and Kraken headset. So far, knock on wood I've had no issues with the other two products
I've have searched and searched the forums for answers. I have trying going to device manger and uninstall my failed port. Searching for new hardware, it always finds the mouse, boots up and then 30 seconds later the error code pops. I've gone through the entire gambit of items listed in device manager, clicking update drivers, all drivers up to date. I've download the exact drivers for mouse from Razer with no luck. I've uninstall, unplugged, restarted, plugged back in same error code. Everything I use with my computer always gets plugged into the exact same usb port. I've tried using all the other ports and get the same error code for the mouse only. I plug in any other item into the ports the mouse was in, they work instantly. I've tried the mouse on two other laptops and a desktop no problem. I've also tried restoring the computer to the prior May Windows update with no success. I have not download anything new to the computer in last month and it has been working completely fine with no issues.
I also made the mistake of calling dell support not knowing a couple of week ago the warranty ran out on the computer and spent a little over an hour on the phone, transfer around only to be told by the Alienware Tech "Oh I completely understand your problem and know exactly whats going on but.... I can not help your warranty ran out 2 weeks ago, today." You can email the out of warranty service department and they will send you links to forums that will help with your problem."
Gee thanks!
I wonder, me being a firefighter, if you dialed 911 and I showed up to your house and saw that your insurance was expired how you feel if I said something down the lines of "Your insurance is expired, I know exactly how to save your life but... your going to need to email "go get bent" and they will direct to forums in one to two business days on how to save your life. "I'm sorry sir, that's not a very fair statement, I wish I could be further assistance to you." Well that's not a very fair statement either, because I don't say that, I render services because you are my customer and you are in need. And sometimes I even stop by the hospital after my shift, just to check up on said customer and ask them if I could do anything else for them. (like take care of pet left behind, or retrieve a book, pictures, computer, or cell phone anything that makes it easier on them.) It's not part of my job, I'm don't get paid for it, it called going above and beyond, setting the example in day and age that most look the opposite direction. "I'm sorry sir, at this time I have to direct you to out of warranty services email support." Guess in a way I won that conversation but my mouse still doesn't work.
Anyways, I make my plea to the Alienware Club for help. Any ideas?
Hope you enjoyed my play by play conversation with Dell support for those that are burnt out on *** customer services that's looking for anyway to make an extra hundo. When I know somebody is about to tell me click here, click there, click this, restart, your computer, working now? Good. Have fun, you big dumb, dumb.

How old is the mouse?
What Windows OS is on your 15 and then on your other systems. If they are all the same OS and the mouse works on the other computers but not the 15, perhaps you have a bad port. Try a different port.
Make sure your touchpad is turned off and see if there is a difference. Blow some compressed air into the spaces of the mouse to try and clear out any dust. The air can also reset springs and the like if they have been pinched out of place.
I don't think it is a battery operate mouse but if it is check the batteries. (duh, I know)
As a side note I recently had to replace a mouse I used on my R2 15 inch. It was spotty with the tracking and clicking and was developing a mind of its own. It was a cheap, small, portable mouse I used while on the road with the R2. It started up after a w10 update and I could not get it to work. I did not try it on any other system so I can't conferm it was the update.
As far as the "let the house burn," you may want to check the local city codes.

I now that this is an old post so I hope you resolved the issue, if not you can try the following.
First of all does the mouse work on another machine, does anther mouse work on your machine?
Secondly check in the BIOS for the USB 3 controller and disable it to test if that resolves the issue, the trade off with this will be USB data transfer rates
