My computer keeps crashing..

I don't understand, i use my computer for a few minutes and as soon as i run a more intense program like games, it crashes. Sometimes, it asks me to 'Start Windows Normally' and other times it says the ''internal hard drive cannot be found, Strike F1 to retry''. It cant be overheating so i'm pretty stumped, any ideas? Thanks in advance.
