New alienware 15 with logitech g430 wired headset, issues.

Hello everyone I will cut straght to the chase, and I apologize if this is a easy fix. I have a alienware 15 laptop with a LG external monitor and a logitech g430 headset.

My issue is its a wired head set with a plug for the microphone and speakers. With a plug they go into to go into a USB drive. The headset did not come with software or set up instructions. But I have the USB plugged into the laptop and the volume is fine. But in games everyone is complaining my background noise and the quality noise I send out is garbage. Am I supposed to have it plugged into the microphone and headset jack on the laptop without the USB? The monitor I have externally hooked up has a headset jack but no microphone jack. I had a low quality headset before I bought my new logitech headset thinking that would fix the problem but I am lost.

Any help would be appreciated,  thank you.

I have the same  headset.. and  a X51  desktop... so slight difference..

found the USB sound card it comes with garbage.. that's all it is is a usb sound card..

I used the mic and headphone plug  on my desktop ....  make sure heset mic is set as default in sounds under recordings.. also check sound  properties under communications and DO NOTING is selected..
