Ongoing Virtualization Issues...
I've posted previously and had NO RESPONSE from anyone at Dell... So I'll try again:
System configuration for your Alienware 18 (Mid 2013)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4910MQ CPU @ 2.90GHz
The Intel spec states that the processor supports virtualization, and the BIOS has says it's enabled and this is what I get:
0 events found
No Events found!

http://ark.intel.com/products/81016/Intel-Core-i5-4210U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_70-GHz
It says YES for VT-x and EPT, but NO for VT-d .
Actually, similar to mine is regards to VT:

Want me to run your checker tool on my machine? What VT package are you trying to install anyway?

Ok VirtualBox. But what software tools did you run (to pre-check laptop for VT-x support) if any?
I assume this is Win8.1_64bit running against the hardware natively?
Have you activated Hyper-V or installed some other Process that might have switched your host to VMX Root-Mode? Like, maybe another emulator?
