Overlocking
I recently purchased Alienware aurora r4 ALX.
Specs:
Windows 7
4820k
GTX 770
16gb ram
I overclocked it 4.2 no problems running Prime95, But i get a bsod running prime95 at 4.3ghz.
Does that mean i have a bad cpu?

Hello, Naomi
Thank you for you reply. I do have HWmonitor. Running prime95 on 4.2ghz on all cores are were fine. I ran prime95 on it for 1 hour. Max temp was 68. Running prime95 on 4.3ghz lasts less then 5sec until i get the bsod.

Hi!
Have you checked if the BSOD comes up when you're running the CPU at stock speed? I would also recommend you download HWmonitor to check the CPU temperatures and retrieved the BSOD error code using Blue Screen View. Post a reply with the information.
