PhysX configuration for Alienware 17 - GPU980M / Intel HD / CPU???
Tried to google this as well and haven't found an answer. The PhysX configuration by default is to use the Intel HD built in card, but why is this when the machine has an 8GB GPU? Surely it must be better/quicker to use the powerful Nvidia 980M than the internal Intel graphics? Or is the Intel HD perfectly capable of dealing with PhysX leaving the Nvidia card to deal with other stuff not having to share resources with the PhysX?
Again, please help explaining to a noob...

Hi,
The system is automatically configured to use both cards when needed. The NVidia card is used for graphic intensive applications like games and the Intel is used for everything else not graphically intensive. The PhysX software comes with the NVidia driver, what do you mean by its using the Intel card?

Thanks for the explanation. What I mean is that when I went into the PhysX configuration screen it had 3 options in the drop down. To use Nvidia GPU, Intel GPU or CPU. I've just set it to Automatic and assume this means the system will automatically select the best option.
