Power usage and consumption Area51 ALX
Hi , just wanted to ask about you guys electric bills when using the Area 51 ALX..i just bought one and i wanted to see if this thing is a power hog

Average use on mine is 20-25% max on a 2200va UPS.
So about 440-550 watts for the computer and 3 low power LCD with 1 GPU running at full power.

Hi Denny, let me try to address that.
If you pay $.20 per kWh, then you would have to pay $0.24 per hour to run a 1.2kW computer 1 hour a day; now you can multiply that by the amount of hours you will be using the system for. (Assuming the computer will use the 1.2kW in full, at all times, which is not very true)
It will all depend on how much you pay as well, I have seen $.10 per kWh bills as well.
