Problem with NVIDIA Driver: Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

This has been a consistent problem with the computer regardless of if if the Intel graphics card or the NVIDIA graphics card is in use. I will use the computer for a variable amount of time, but eventually, the display driver will make the computer hang, and the audio will be broken from then on.

When restarting the computer, the computer will turn off while the monitor will stay on. Turning the monitor off as well and restarting the computer will not make the monitor turn on with the computer. Turning the monitor after the 'beep' when restarting will prompt the message 'no signal' and the monitor will turn off. This rebooting issue occurs only when the computer freezes/hangs due to driver problems.

I have tried all the methods outlined here: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fix-display-driver-stopped-responding-and-has-recovered-error/ but the problem still persists.

I have the most recent Alienware BIOS and NVIDIA drivers installed.

What causes the drivers to hang?

Also, when the computer starts hanging after the driver temporarily stops working, Google Chrome Windows currently open have a Windows 7 border that sometimes breaks.

Type nvlddmkm in the search block and several threads talk about this.

My suggestion would be to uninstall the NVidia driver and do a clean install of the current driver from the NVidia web site.

You did not tell us what system you have but a Intel display driver just came out dated the tenth.
