Problems with Alienware m17xr4
Hi.
i had purchased my alienware m17xr4 in january 2013. recently some problems have come up namely
1)The desktop background is not changing from the default windows7 one.i had applied the alienware theme but everything except for the desktop background has changed.
2)The alienware OSD does not work. i have tried reinstalling it many times. also all messages such as battery low etc are displayed in the lower right section of the screen.
3)Sometimes the speakers stop working. one minute everything is fine but the next minute there's no sound coming out of the laptop.
4)The alienware command center displays this message

Have you tried to change the desktop background manually doing a right click in the desktop then personalize?
On regards to the issue with the OSD, audio and command center I would recommend to uninstall the 3 drivers, perform a power drain, then flash the BIOS to the latest version you find in the Dell support site and reinstall the drivers.
