Problems with New Alienware m15x - help!

Hey all was wandering if anyone can help me this this issue I have with this new laptop.
When I play Modern Warfare 2 or any other gam eI get serious loud fan noise. And the heat can be felt at rear of laptop and the keyboard tends to become warm also. The weird thing it sounds different on the right hand side of the lappy than the left side, the right being more louder with a diff sound to it. Also the left side blows out cooler air whereas the right side of back of lappy is much hotter air. I have done some reading and found that a lot of people have this problem and say it needs to have fan replaced or fans???

Also, a lot of people have said running MW2 game their lappys ( same make/model ) run very quiet whilst gaming... So, what is the correct procedure I should be taking here? Phone Dell support and get a tech to come out and replace or what? Are their others here with or had same problems as I'm having? I've only had this machine for a few days and to me it just don't seem right..Thanks for replies in advance

I also noticed today I never had it running on the POWERLEAD at all and run it soley from the battery. There was no sound of fans at all for the entire duration playing game - NOT ONCE! Then as soon as I put my powerlead in and have it on chargeup whilst playing MW2 the fans kick in within a few mins??? What is going on with this machine? Sureley the fans would come on more so when it was not running from mains not other way around??? Should I make a call about this or contact someone saying there is a fault with this laptop? And if so who should I actually contact? Dell or Alienware I'm unsure about this. Thanks

Hmm, before you contact support, check your hardware temperatures. Maybe one or more components are getting hotter than normal when you plug in; as a result the fans kick in. To determine hardware temperatures, you can download and use the Hardware Monitor from CPU-ID. If the temperatures are reading normal, try checking your power plan options in the Control Panel to see if there's something amiss there. If all else fails, contact the Alienware tech support.

Chances are that there are other M15X users on the forums with a similar issue resolved, gotta dig around a bit.

What are the norm operating temps for this machine? Where do I find this info? Idle and when playing games like mw2 what is considered normal temps??

The sound thing does not sound right. The other stuff could be ok. One side of the machine should be hotter. Thats where the GPU is also the keyboard getting warm would be normal being that the GPU is right under it (only when gaming of course). Another thing with the fans is when your running on battery the GPU/CPU normally does not run at 100% to save power, same with the fans.  So it should run hotter and louder plugged in. Normal temps would be in the 60c-75c range under load and around 40-55c idle. Keep in mind I dont own an Alienware laptop but I have owned several gaming laptops including an Asus that I own right now that has a GTX 460m. So hopefully someone with the same laptop can pop in to tell you what is normal.
