Problems with SSD swap/AlienRespawn
Hi! I'm looking for some help from anyone on here who have experience with swapping the HDD to a Samsung EVO 240GB SSD in a new Alienware Alpha (with literally just Windows 8 .1 & the Alienware Alpha software on it. The obvious way appears to be through using AlienRespawn to get an out-of-the-box setup.
The problem i'm having is that there doesn't seem to be a "bootable backup" option on my version of AlienRespawn. There also says that there is an update available for AlienRespawn, but it crashes a few seconds into starting the update every time. Anyone with any ideas? Or is there a straight forward Plan B that doesn't involve cables etc? Thanks!

You should be able to make a restore dvd or usb stick from the alienware respawn software. If i remember correctly it would say restore in the options menu and allow you to create the backup from there. 2nd or 3rd option down when you first load it.
