Replaced components and experiencing slow boot times

Alienware Area-51 case
ASrock Z68 Extreme4 (replaced the original Gigabyte mobo -damaged)
i5 2500k (replaced original Core 2 Quad)
G. Skill RipjawsX 4Gx2
Storage Samsung Spinpoint 1000GB (1.TB) /32MB cache hard drive
POWER SUPPLY Alienware 1100Watt Multi-GPU Approved
ATI Radeon HD 5870
Optical Lite-On 24X Dual-Layer Burner (DVD±RW)
Win7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

(This is the first time for me installing new components)

So, I installed the mobo, cpu and memory today and booted the PC up. Once in the BIOS, I see that my CPU, memory in dual channel ddr3, HDD & optical drive are all recognized. I updated the BIOS for the mobo to 1.60, and I installed all the drivers for the GPU. I also installed all from the CD that came with the mobo, but I am still having issues. When I boot the PC up, just getting Windows up and running is taking about 15minutes. All the settings in the BIOS are currently at the default values and the BIOS screen is very laggy, unless it's the mouse, which I haven't installed any drivers for yet. Once the PC is booted into Windows, there does not seem to be any further lag. I cannot figure out what is causing such a long boot process, does anyone have any ideas for me, as this could be something obvious.

Also, I was wondering if it is possible to install Command Center to control the liquid cooling and any other fans that are in the case?  The fan runs at full speed and is very loud and the CPU temp seems to be hovering around 52C, so doesn't that seem a bit hight?  I'm using the Liquid Cooling that came with the PC from Alienware.

Thanks for any advice/help, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I will give your suggestions a shot tomorrow and try to narrow down the cause of the problem.  I will also contact ASRock regarding those temps (and yes, I'm talking about temps that high while idle).  I'll post back on here and let everyone know how it goes in case someone is having similar issues.

I appreciate the feedback though and hopefully I can get this taken care of soon.

Unplug all your USB devices except the keyboard and try booting up. If it boots fine then you need to start plugging in one USB device at a time to find out which one is slowwing it down. If it still boots very slow with nothing plugged in then you need to contact ASRock.

Install the Command Center..not the Command Center Desktop. This should give you fan and light control.

You need to call ASRock and tell them about the CPU temps since it is their board you are now using. If the CPU fan is running full speed but your temps are still that high then something is up. That 52c is idle temp, right? With 100% fan? If so then yeah something isnt right.

Also, is there anything from the link below that I should be installing, as I have not installed anything from there and I have no idea if I need to.  I won't be able to work on all of this until tomorrow morning anyway, but I am reading all over the forums and trying to learn as much as possible about my PC, so any additions help..  Thanks again.

Not really just the command center. Most of the drivers are for the stock board. If you are using the OEM ATI cards then maybe the drivers and thats only if you have issues with the drivers from ATI. There are firmware updates for the DVD/BR drives too but I don't know if you are using the OEM ones or what. You need to go through all your components and figures out what is dell and what is not.

Gotcha.  The only thing left that is stock from Dell is the Master I/O, the PSU and the ATI card.  I'll report back tomorrow once I do some trouble shooting.  Thanks a lot for helping me out and I appreciate your patience as I'm sure most of these questions are very n00bular..  I guess you have to start somewhere and the knowledge will all help in future builds.

Anyone know what would be the cause of windows boot screen pausing continuously as the logo is attempting to form together?  Seriously takes almost 15mins for the home screen to finally appear, but after windows is booted up, there' s no lag.

Not getting much further with this build.  The PC still boots up extremely slow and I am going to try a fresh install of Windows 7 64 and reinstall all the drivers for the mobo and the gpu.  hopefully that will help a bit as I'm not sure what other steps to take to try to remedy this situation.
