Resetting Alienware X51 Problem
After attempting to install updates which failed, I was restarting my PC when I got a blue screen that says:
Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors.
File:\windows\System32\drivers\ACPI.sys
Error code: 0x000000f
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
Press Enter to try again
Press F8 for Startup Settings
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings
I want to completely restore my computer to factory settings, how can I fix this?

Hello,
I assume you are running Windows 7 with this system. To restore your system to factory settings, you can use Alien Respawn and run it from the Advanced Boot Options. Click here to view a video that explains how to do a system recovery using Alien Respawn. Let us know how it goes.

Try to access the Boot menu by taping the F12 key when you turn on the system. On this menu, look for the ePSA/Diagnostic option and press enter. This will begin to run a test on the system components, let us know if you receive any errors.

Hi,
Thanks for confirming this. It appears like something may have corrupted the operating system, it may be best to do a clean installation of Windows 8.1. Click here to view a video from our Alienware Services YouTube channel that explains how to do this step by step using the Windows media.

Thanks for confirming this, I do not really understand your question. Do you mean that the resolution is smaller on your TV compared to your monitor?
