Support Assist - Dell's website link to DL fails; Support Assist fails to recognize an internet connection....
All,
A week ago; all was working fine with Dell's Support Assist. Now, it refuses to acknowledge that I have an Internet connection (even though I do). Thinking perhaps some other component, driver, etc. may have gone missing when I last did a registry clean with CCLEANER, I was going to opt on re-installing it...but I cannot even do that; why? The link right on Dell's Support Assist download page fails w/ 404 error.
Dell Mods...can you enlighten us here?

I'd like to know this as well as I got the same error when trying to download the Support Assist software. Same when trying the online diagnostic, it fails when downloading the Support Assist.

Same problem here, I have tried to download support assist from multiple computers, and even used a different internet provider. Everytime I get this error message:
This site can’t be reached
content.dellsupportcenter.com’s server DNS address could not be found.

i'm exactly the same and got the cold shoulder from the phone support team who denied there was an issue - there clearly is!

Well, it appears to be back up. Was able to get support assist just a few minutes ago.

and clicked on link for 'Download SupportAssist for PCs & Tablets' about halfway down the page.

All,
Apparently this has resolved itself. Perhaps there was a server issue on Dell's side? In any event, both SupportAssist and the direct Dell website link to download SupportAssist are once again working as intended (starting approx 3-4 days ago).
Pardon the delay to report it resolved itself - busy RL.
