Greetings,

I would recommend calling support and having your original order number handy.  You should be able to find it on your invoice (or email) at the time of purchase.  They should be able to confirm your service tag or make note if there is an issue.

Thanks,

Gabe

It could be that the Service Tag was never attached to the Order Number. Send me a Private Message (click my username, click Send Message) with the following data -
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone Number:
PC Service Tag number:
PC Order number:
Reason: Service Tag check

Elsewhere I had reported this problem - but it's worse

"Another Web-site problem: since my warranty information is wrong. (of 4 parts, one missing and one one year short of what I purchased,  I tried to send an e-mail,  Was told that unit not purchase in US.  Was my error, Moved to the Canadian site.  Now being told:

Our records indicate that your service tag belongs to a system that was purchased outside Latin America.  True, purchased in Canada and I am on the Canadian Site.   Any one else running into these problems?"

Today I phoned Support and they confirmed my warranty is correct on their records - and the details I was given did compare to mine.  This nice lady, (as I kept telling here that info is not on the web-site (showing CANADA and my correct Tag number (I was also signed in on my account.), then went on the web with my tag number and she said, it all shows correctly, confirming again 4 lines and correct expiry dates.

So for whatever reason she must have had a different web site from what I was on.Then with her help we went on the web through every step to look up my warranty data.  Well I ended up at the same web page as before showing incorrect warranty info. Of course she was now just as I confused how this could happen but gave me a reference number and said she would elevate that web-site problem. I offered to send a screen print but she said she would elevate it.

May by it's on my Account where Dell thinks I am in Latin America, although it has all the correct data and certainly CANADA.  Reason, when recently ordering from Dell the Logtech Z906 5.1 Speaker system, the system automatically entered my correct address info from my records, yet it refused to take it, saying it was wrong.  So I re-entered it manually.  No joy,  I finally deleted my address info on my account record, still being on the Canadian site and entered it again. Eventually, finally atter spending almost 3 hours I was able to place the order (received in two days and works great) .

So somehow

  1. as to e-mail there is a glitch that when starting off on the Canadian site, it thinks I am on a Latin America site, yet it shows my Tag number (which it knows is Canadian), hence it doesn't let me send an e-mail
  2. as to my warranty it seems to be entered correctly in Canada (which record I don't seem to be able to access)  but also, yet incorrectly under a Latin America site notwithstanding that on the top line on the site it shows the Canadian flag and Canada.

Well I hope someone at Dell can figure this one out and correct it.
