The Alienware Alpha has an NVidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU (2GB GDDR5). It does not come an Intel GPU, only the NVidia, so there is no switchable graphics option for this system.
it does come with an iGPU. The CPU has integrated graphics core, but it's disabled by the Alpha's motherboard firmware. There are many laptops out there with the nVidia GTX 860m chip , and those laptops are using the switchable graphics. My initial impression was this is also the case with the Alienware Alpha. It just doesn't make sense not to have this feature enabled.
I really hope a BIOS update can enable such feature, because I can sure make use of both iGPU and the nVidia GPU.

I understand what you mean but unfortunately, the switchable graphics feature is not an option.
