Thermal Controller Error and Lighting Error Aurora ALX
I just installed windows 7 with all the new drivers and the lights and such were working fine. As soon as installed the Command Center drivers, the lights turned off and I keep getting a Thermal Controller error and another Error. Lights will not turn on and the MIO is recognized in the diagnostics, but none of the lights turn the color they are supposed to. The Dell diagnostic error code is 5E00:2C26. Please help me, I don't believe I have a bad board as it was working earlier today. Thank you!

Where did you download the drivers for ACC from?

I downloaded them from the dell site, one was version A05 so I tried that with no luck and uninstalled, then I tried A08 and still no luck. I also tried the power discharge (unplug PSU and hold down power button for 30 sec).

The numbers/versions you state are for the BIOS. Did you update or re-install the ACC software, this would be the thermal controls and FX lighting.

you mean a full uninstall of Command Center, then run Revo uninstaller correct?

There are two versions of ACC. Command Center A08 and Command Center Desktop A05. You want A05.
You need to do a full uninstall and then run a cleaner like CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller. You should also pull the power plug and hold the power button down for 15sec to reset it. Then reinstall the A05 and see what happens.
Also make sure you have the .NET framwork 4 installed on your system.

The latest v2.5.x version is A08 Release. It uses the original MIO-Board firmware 1.x
The latest v2.6.x version is A05 Release. It uses the new MIO-Board firmware 2.x . Also requires the new Dot-Net 4.0 Framework for the CC apps.
That's why the Axx notation started over ... there are 2 different architectures. It's fine to stick with v2.5.x , but once you go to v2.6.x ... you should really only go forward. If you used the internal updater, it's hard to say what got applied (attempted any way).
That's also why it's better to un-install first (usually a v2.5.x version) before installing v2.6.x . That way no CC apps are using the MIO-Board when the v2.x firmware updater runs ... it has a better chance of success.
If your MIO-Board is just locked up or in-a-loop, you should be able to reset it. If the firmware is corrupt ... well, are you still under warranty?
When going to support.dell.com ... it's kinda messed up now with the new website.
After you go to the main page (with the pic of your machine at the top)...
Click the tab for ALL Aurora ALX files ... otherwise it just shows a few old files.

I have BIOS A11. I updated CC to the newest version and I cannot get it to run. I tried reseting the MIO by moving the green jumper to the top two pins (it was on the bottom 2 although there are only 3 pins) The light on the board however remains orange.

Don't worry about BIOS A11 ... it's fine and un-related.
You installed v2.6x (A05) ? Not sure what you mean ... It wouldn't install or the apps throw errors when they run.
Your best chance is to keep trying all of these :
1. Dell Diags (sometimes this will reset it into working)
2. Power off dissipate fix (orange light goes off for 10 minutes ... maybe longer). As long as it's firmware isn't corrupt, it should load a default/working config from ROM. Also do this before installing new CC.
3. Keep un-installing, reboot, and installing the latest CC.
What release model is your Aurora and are you still under warranty?
