Hm, it is odd. I put defaults in the bios and restarted.

It found Intel 5 series/3400 series chipset family Pci express root part 1, 2,3,4,5

My system is  Intel core I7. Maybe nothing.

But, nothing is showing up still. See what happens as time goes on I reckon.

I did get an unknown usb earlier.

Yes, that is odd ... it shouldn't be re-detecting any devices at this late stage.

Did you reload this system from the Dell DataSafeLocal Recovery Partition, or did you fresh install from the original Win-7 DVD?

Hi

Reloaded from datasafe partition maybe a month or so ago.

Sometimes unknown usb device. Says windows has detected a problem. Only sometimes though. Remove it, restart and it usually gets corrected.

Wondering if it would be a waste f time to do another factory restore? Then again, the i/o board was updated when I installed the latest command center.

Suppose A04 is latest bios for my system?

Just would love to get this corrected.

No, I wouldn't bother. It's old and possibly corrupt. I would try a Clean install and reload latest drivers in proper order.

Image Backup your C: drive (with something like Acronis) of that perfect install and use that for your "Emergency Recovery" instead (Dell DataSafeLocal will likely be inoperable at this point).

Yes, A04 shows to be the latest R-2 BIOS.

Well, just installed Win7 and followed the install order.

Device error in usb again.

Installed command center, didnt prompt for a driver or anything.

Running out of ideas now.

So, the monitor's USB hub is disconnected for now? The only USB devices are the keyboard and mouse?

Have you tried right clicking on the error-ed USB device and attempt to Update Driver ? (will search local machine and Windows Update) If you go to Properties, goes it give any indication as to it's identity? I think that is the current obstacle ... discovering what hardware it is ... then we can work on the driver.

Since the "Gaming Desktop" doesn't show, my guess it has something to do with the MIO-Board (it's a compound multi-part device ... more than just the one Master IO Filter part shows).

You said no BlueTooth module ... did you get the factory FlexBay Card-Reader option?

Have you checked the MIO Board with Dell Diagnostics?

You are welcome to upload your Device Manager screen shots of the error-ed device. Upload the normal one and the "Devices by Connection" one.

Please answer the questions in my last post.

It also describes the 2 screen shots I requested (Control Panel / Device Manager / View - Devices by Connection).
