Unknown alienware 14 display issue

Hi

I’m facing very weird issue with my alienware 14. I get fuzzy display as in the attached pictures each time my PC wakes up from sleep mode. (For example when I lock my PC and leave it for a while, the display is turned off, when I turn it back on by moving the mouse for example, this issue occurs) and my PC does NOT freeze, (I connected it once to an external display and my PC was fully functional but still the display was fuzzy). I noticed that this issue only happens with Ge-force GPU active. Any idea what is causing this issue? Is it a faulty display or GPU? Knowing that I uninstalled the driver, and did rollback. Same issue appeared . I did run diagnostics for the GPU, everything is OK. I started many heavy games to check the GPU, and it's running fine.

Thanks for you help in advance.

In that case it could be a problem either with the video card or with the motherboard, I will recommend you to send the system to our repair facilities so they can check it out properly, if you are still under warranty and you within US or Canada you can send me a PM with your service and a brief description of the problem so I can help you out, otherwise you can contact the technical support site in your country so they can assist you.

Dear Milena,

Thanks for your reply, i will contact the local technical support and ask for their help. meanwhile i removed the Ge-force driver installation completely and installed the old one provided by dell. now the issue is no longer appearing. do you think it's a driver issue? or still hardware one. i'm still testing it and will give you feedback later, as it may help other users.

Thanks again.

Well if you troubleshoot the driver and now the system is working fine then yes is could be just a software issue, I thought it was a hardware issues since I understood you connected to an external Display and it work fine, but yes please continue to test the system and let know how it goes.
