Unlocked lock icon on drive (C:)

Hello everyone,

I need your help in a very weird matter. I have cloned a disk and everything seems fine except the OS (C:) has an unlocked lock icon on it. I have searched everything and everyone point out to a bitlocker tool, however this is not a file that is locked or doesn't work, is the whole C partition.

I also tried to bring to factory reset by using the Repair Computer partition and worked great, everything is ok except the sign is still there.

If anybody really knows what this mean I will really appreciate your input in this matter!

Thank you

That lock icon is related to bitlocker...  rightclick C:\ and it should be the 3rd menu item on the flyout.  If there's no bitlocker menu item, you *might* have to enable the feature in add/remove progs and then disable it.

Otherwise, it's not doing anything bad or good really other than adding a spiffy icon that wasn't there before.

but if the Bitlocker Funktion is not Installed, how can it be active?

i still think it is File Sharing / Ownership Settings related. the Cloning App must have changed the Settings to be able to Copy the Windows Files from one Drive to another.

Thank you for your reply. Actually, if I need to change the ownership or permissions I will get all kind of errors. There is no bitlocker menu on right click. Can you provide please some proper steps to follow? I will try this one too. Thank you.
