Upgrade processor i7 3940
I have a Alienware M18x R2, so I would like to upgrade from my current processor, i7 3840QM to an i7 3940XM Extreme processor along with a three(3) pipe heatsink(0MXJ5). What changes to the BIOS and motherboard need to be made? Can I have this information?

Hello mdhurrtn,
The Intel core i7 3940XM is compatible with the M18xR2, so you won't need to do any changes on the motherboard nor the BIOS, just make sure to apply the thermal paste when installing the new heatsink.
