What is computrace??

I had the 970m and put deactivate but noticed it was grey.  I called tech support and he said he was grey too in deactivate and it doesn't work but I got the 980m and read the option before hitting enter and it said if you put activate or deactivate it will stay permanent so I put activated.

computrace is a program, normally in BIOS, that allows you to subscribe to a service that will track your laptop if it were ever stolen.  Its now called LoJack.  Activating or deactivating it shouldn't hurt anything weather you use it or not.
