Why does my Alienware Aurora's Fans Kick in High gear for 5 seconds when you first turn it on?
Ive never seen a PC do this, all the fans blow loud full blast for 5 seconds then stop. Just curious.

Hi EpicConspiracy,
You may try flashing BIOS by using the below link, input system service tag:

You may also clean the air vents regularly by using can of compressed air.
Do reply with your findings.

My Aurora R4 does that as did my XPS 435T from the first time I turned them on,I think it is just the way they are designed. Why is a good question. I asked about that a couple years ago and never did get a clear answer from Dell.

Hi Wayne3842,
When the computer is turned on, the BIOS checks for the functionality of all the components including the fan. Fan rotates at the maximum speed during this and then speed is varied based on the temperature.

Thank you Kiran K for that answer. It does make sense it would do that.
