WiFi cannot be switched on

Question

I am using Alienware M14x R2 and am not able to switch on the wifi! pressing F3 does nothing, and if i try to do it via 'wireless' option on 'change pc setting', it shows the WiFi option as OFF and UNHIGHLIGHTED! meaning i cannot change it or switch it on! please help me, maybe i am making some novice error. also i am not so well versed with computer lingo, so pls explain in detail! thanks

Hi beasb, Typically this problem happens when the On Screen Display driver 'OSD' stops working. Check this article for further information on how to re-install the OSD application
