Windows 10 Pro Update Version 1511 10586 Build, has same issue as Windows 10 did on Aurora R3

Why am I not suprised by this.

Tried to install the recent big update to Windows 10, this is not the upgrade that came out a few months back, just the update from November.

It gets to 30% install and again and doesn't go any further, so baby sitting a update,

As it do not let it restart itself after 30%, do hard shut down.

Guess till Dell updates the Bios to allow us Aurora 3 owners to turn off what I suspect is issue and that is Sucre boot EFI, this is what we have to do.

Well I am assuming so, not tried it yet, but what happened last night was same as back in August and then it doesn't fully receover back to previous build of Window 10, you have to get into Safe mode menus and choose option 7, not using digitally signed drivers, so this also leads me to suspect the good old USB 3 devices on this machine, just won't work with Window s10 during a update. SO disconnect any USB while it installs. Same as we did in August.

But it is not Del only, read many search results on google of same problem and these people have HP, ASUS etc machines.

So who do we blame? MS? Dell?

Be interested if any other Aurora 3 owners have found this with this update.

Cheers

Hi,

Unfortunately, according to the policy document, the Alienware Aurora R3 system will not be supported on Windows 10. Some users have successfully installed Windows 10 on these non-supported systems. But they did all the driver investigation (example = installing 7/8/8.1 drivers) to force it to work. Dell does not have the resources to do this on non-supported systems. You could also try posting this on the Notebook Review and Alienware Arena forums for assistance.
