You should make sure to check the connector seatings for the lights and ports on the motherboard as well. On my X51 I had the MB replaced and after the LED panels and USB ports weren't working. It turned out the USB header cable to the motherboard was offset by 1 pin.  I moved it then everything was fine.

I have this issues when I bought my x51 r2  where I cant change colors on side of the panel. It only allow me to a red color. So I just put a red theme and thinking no biggie if I cant change colors. And after a month when I decided to upgrade my gpu and open up the x51 I notice the cable that lits up the system is loose so I simply reattach the cable that connects to the panel. After I turn on my rig all the lights are working. Try to open up your x51 maybe the wire is loose and try to reattach..

This happened to me too. When I first got the Area 51, all lights were working fine, then after I adjusted the position of PC, left side LED wasn't lit up.

So I tried to open the panel, but when I grabbed the bottom of PC, the LED came back on.

I think some of X51 came with loose LED connection cable.

Hi guys. Thanks for the tips.

I've finished putting my PC back together and having tested the lights for a loose connection, the lights still only glow white.

Bryson,

Thanks so much for your help.

I didn't realise there was another connection to the motherboard. Opened the case again, and had the exact problem you described.

Thanks to everyone for their help.
