I tried the autotune on my aurora, and specified to go well beyond manufacture limits and it ended up clocking my machine lower than the level one clocks. Was a waste of time, and following using the tool (I restored the level one clock) my machine started booting up very strangely. It would start, then shut down, and then start again.

It is possible to overclock your i7 beyond the 3.2. Just look through some of the posts on this thread.

I also didnt have a very satisfying user experience with the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, I was just wondering if anyone out there DID get good results out of it and if they would be so kind to tell us what they did?

I'm interested in this as well, but someone was telling me that my RAM @ 1066Mhz won't allow me to overclock my i7 920. So I dunno...

Yeah...Overclocking with software usally ends up slowing down the pc rather than making it faster.
