problem pairing bluetooth headphone with alienware
Hello everyone, I just bought a dell alienware m14x, I love it so far.
I pay the 20$ extra to have the Bluetooth option and I successfully pair my blackberry but when I am trying to pair my Bluetooth jay bird SB2 headphone with my computer, it doesnt work…
the computer find my device, and when I go to device and printer I see it there, but there is not option to “use” or activate I also check in the sound option where you can choose the output(manage audio devices), but only the computer speakers are there.
I tried to download the driver installer wizard from Broadcom corp but it doesn’t find my headphone…
I am puzzled!!
Anyone had a problem like that?
Francois

Did you go to Show Bluetooth Devices? Go there and right click the headset and pick properties, click services tab and see if they are all checked off.

Delete the device and repair it then go back into that tab and see if you can check them all off. The handsfree and headset should be able to be checked, not sure about the other two with that headset. I always thought that the only options it would show are ones the device is able to use meaning all 4 should be checked.
I cant say for sure about the remote and sink but the headset and handsfree should be checked.

Double click the device and it should bring up another window. You will see the options with a connect button next to them. Just click the connect for whatever service you want to use.

@frankinthecity
I just got my m14x last Thursday and I also can't connect my Motorola S805. Luckily I tried some solutions that worked. Try this:
1. Put the "M14x Resource DVD" in your laptop. Once the autoplay dialog box appeared, click" Run autoRcd.exe".
2. Just click the Next button when the Welcome page appears.
3. Click the [Drivers] tab above. Then scroll down.
4. Under the "Network Drivers", click the "Dell Wireless 375 Bluetooth Module Rev: A01". Then click extract.
5. After that, you will be able to install the Bluetooth driver. Moreover, you will be able to connect your Bluetooth headset.
I hope it helps you.
