The overclock settings are set in the BIOS so they will not change if you reinstall windows.

Thankx alot for the response, it turn out that it does shut it off but doesnt delete the factory setting from the bios as stated on

awsome thankxs.

now if you dont mind. im kind affraid i might have done something wrong. please tell me i didnt do anything wrong and stupid.

After pressing F2 during boot, before exiting i hit "Restaure Defaults" does it restaure to defaults that the alienware came with whihc factory setting or is it totally reset ?

also forget to mention but does it also cause me to lossing the Overlcock too?

You can check if the system is still overclock with the help of this article.

PS: if you are not able to download the INTEL Turbo Boost Monitor you can use a third party website like majorgeeks
