We do not have an exact number, it should be 3-4 hours in regular usage and around 2 hours playing games; but yes, the UHD will last longer because of Optimus.
I am with 1080p screen and I get about 1 dota playtime while on battery at high performance which is about 50-60 mins. So I guess the gaming time is less than thst on the 4k model, but when not playing games I get 6-8 hours depending on brightness
My experience ( I have QHD g-sync version): 2-3hours for regular and 1 hour for gaming and I keep using power saver plan (windows power plan not really helpful). Brightness is 60%. The battery formulation for windows is: 0.5 * official claim battery - 1 or 2 hours = realistic battery

Eimy cracks me up. 2 hours gaming on battery?
2 hours on regular use if you have a g-sync monitor. 1 hour at best if you decides to game. the pascal gpu are powerful and power hungry even at idle.
I have 17 r3 with optimus and battery is *** and it has optimus. i can't imagine the battery life nightmare of having a g-sync monitor.

I have heard the R4's are pretty good on battery life, either way I would go with the G-sync display
