Alienware 17 Soundblaster Recon3di not working
I recently updated my windows 8.1 to windows 10 and since then my soundblaster is no longer working, my sound is TERRIBLE so I'm forced to use a headset at all times. There is no way I can find any drivers for 'Soundblaster Recon 3di' that actually work with windows 10. Help!

Hi,
Make sure your system is running the latest Bios firmware, click here for the download link. Try uninstalling the audio drivers from Device Manager first, then restart the system and install this driver. Let us know how it goes.

Hello, sorry for my late response. I've tried your solution but it doesn't work. The BIOS download gave me an error: IHISI: get support mode error in SMI. SMI return code: 0XEF
I then removed my old sound drivers like you said and reinstalled the ones from the download link you provided. Unfortunately I now don't have any sound at all, only when I use my headset, speakers now don't give any sound whatsoever.
I am really not technical and I'm pretty upset about this because my laptop is only a month old orso..
