Alienware Graphics Amp?
I have an Alienware 17 R3 and I have just got it back in running condition after a long 5 months trying to sort it out.
I have a GTX 1070FE with my graphics amp but in the past every time I tried to plug it in the load time would be really slow and affect the PC badly so I do not want to plug it in now and it to do the same thing again because I would have to reinstall windows and all of my apps and games.

Hi,
Just to confirm, when you are using the amplifier with this card, it affects the overall system performance and gaming performance as well?

Yes it affects the gaming and system performance when plugged in

Ok thanks, have you ever tested another card with the amplifier or just the GTX 1070? Did you try reinstalling the Nvidia video driver?

No I only have one card which worked for 3 months after I purchased it.
Yes I have tried reinstalling the Nvidia video driver but it stays the same.

We cannot confirm that unless we test the video card with another computer or another card with the amplifier. Are you sure your system is recognizing the 1070 card in the amplifier when you have it plugged in (it should show this card in Device Manager, under display adapters)?

So how would I be able to check that its the card or the Ga because I can not afford another card and I do not know anybody with one.
My system does recognize the 1070 when everything is plugged in.
