You may need a BIOS update so that the motherboard supports Ivy Bridge-E, but I think that would be it.

So a fully updated BIOS (A11) should support Ivy-bridge processors?
It should. The Aurora R4 has support for both Sandy Bridge-E and Ivy Bridge-E.
