Well i have an alienware M15X and its very good. I habe it with similar specs to the one your looking at. Although the XPS has the better specs in your comparison i would still go with alienware, you get all the alienware benifits the lights, alienware control center, its built for gaming, amd it simply looks awesome. You will be the envy of your friends if you have an alienware. I know I am :P It runs every game on ultra settings without problems. This is with the M15X however not the M14X so not sure the diffreence except an inch less screen size. I would go with the M15X you can get the resolutionup to 1920x1080 and its on the boundary of portable/not portable. Any bigger like M17X or M18X and it starts turning more into not portable rather than portable. I take mine everywhere and its fantastic, im sure the M14X would be good too being slightly more portable. But i would recommend alienware over XPS. XPS is more bland and ordinary and doesnt look like anything special, but if thats what you want then ok.
